Jagaban Coin Holds Soft Launch, to Distribute 3 Billion Free JAGA Tokens

LAGOS, Nigeria – The newly launched cryptocurrency Jagaban Coin (JAGA) held a soft launch online event this week where it announced plans to distribute 3 billion free tokens.

Jagaban Coin was created by a group of young African developers aiming to drive financial inclusion and education through blockchain technology. The project is not affiliated with Nigerian politician Bola Tinubu, whose title ‘Jagaban Borgu’ inspired the project’s name.

At the soft launch, the Jagaban Coin team outlined their vision to build a suite of apps, games, NFTs and metaverse spaces powered by JAGA tokens. They also announced that they are kicking things off by giving away 3 billion free tokens.

“We want to get JAGA tokens into the hands of as many people as possible, especially young Africans,” said one of the pseudonymous co-founders known simply as ‘Druid’.

The free token distribution will happen through airdrops, referrals bonuses, contests and various other community activities. Nigerians will be able to claim 1 billion free JAGA as a form of economic palliative. Another 2 billion will go to other African and developing countries the world over.

“This is just the beginning – we aim to inspire a new generation of blockchain developers in Africa,” Druid added.

In addition to the 3 Billion free JAGA, the team has set aside another 2 billion JAGA for ecosystem development and growth incentives.

Jagaban Coin attracted strong interest during its recent stealth launch over the weekend. The project roadmap outlines an ambitious vision, including JAGA-funded universities, movies, games and apps. Crypto analysts are intrigued by the project’s potential and bold aspirations.
